FTSI 2D & 3D Motion Control Camera Winch System. This system was used extensively on The Incredible Hulk, The Happening, and by Go Stunts from LA on Spiderman 2, Spiderman 3 and Crank.

The system is comprised of any number of computer controlled winches that can fly (in 2D or 3D “cable cam”) the Flight Head, or move the FTSI Dolly on FTSI Track, or move a set piece or move a vehicle.

All elements are integrated and controlled by Fisher Technology’s award-winning Navigator automation software and programming environment.

 

How it works

• Pre-vis files from VFX can be imported/exported to or from the FTSI Navigator software.
• When imported, the camera, 2d/ 3D rig does the exact move created by VFX.
• When exported, the movement recorded by FSTI Navigator software on set can then be loaded into any animation platform and VFX will have the exact move to build their CGI around.
• All cues can be pre-programmed ahead of time or worked out and entered manually on set.
